The Contender

There are many views today on who God is, and how we may approach Him. In a statement that flies in the face of our  modern, “If it works for you run with it” culture, I can affirm that there is only one God, and one way to approach Him. People can be sincerely mistaken, they can be genuinely wrong. In the face of many differing views on God and how to know Him, where can we find the truth?

A Biblical View

This blog is written from the standpoint that the Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant, infallible word, given by divine revelation as the Holy Spirit spoke through the prophets of old. Man has many diverse and often contradictory ideas concerning God, but fortunately God has revealed Himself to us in a way that we can trust. The Bible is sufficient for all matters of faith, doctrine and Christian living in this fallen world.

It is by the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ that we can forgiven before God, reconciled to Him, made holy in this life, and have the glory of being with the Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity. The Bible clearly indicates there is no other way to God.
